See What Our Client Thought of Our Process Start to Finish
Ever been curious about our process and what it’s like to be a client of Bellman’s?
Today’s your lucky day. Our client, Otopia, was personally interviewed by a Clutch analyst over the phone to review what it’s been like working with us. A big thank you to our friends at Otopia for doing this, let’s take a look at what they said.
Firstly, you need to know that Otopia is in the health and wellness sector, they’ve just launched two yummy protein powders and we heard from the co-founder.
What challenge were you trying to address with Bellman Brand Agency?
We started about 12 months ago with product development. My colleagues and I then thought of moving on to our branding. We knew what direction we wanted to go, how we wanted to be perceived within the health and wellness industry, who our target audience was, and all those sorts of things. However, we couldn’t bring it together. We got to a point where we needed help, and we came across Bellman Brand Agency.
What was the scope of their involvement?
When we first went to Bellman, we needed help with our voice and branding. Our main focus was our content because having the right voice is really important today.
We already had our content and logo, but our website needed some attention. We had created the template and photos, but there were just a few things tied to the content guidelines and voice. They went on, refined it for us, and made it a lot better.
Basically, they’ve created brand awareness and we’re now in the next phase. We currently have them working on our social media. To help us, they’re starting to redo all our ads on Facebook and Instagram, following our brand awareness campaign.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with a brand manager, a copywriter, and an illustrator. Those three people have been key to what we’ve got now. We’re now working with somebody else in another department to do all the Facebook and social media campaigns; she’s also fantastic.
Probably in total, we’ve mainly been in contact with five people within the agency, but I don’t know who else is working on it behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Bellman Brand Agency?
I searched on Google and they came up. It was actually myself who went ahead and decided we wanted to go with them. I was really impressed with their website, their past clients, and the work that they’d done.
When I reached out to them, they were so quick to respond and just so efficient. I had them call me, and they had a Zoom meeting with me and my brand manager. We had that meeting the day after I contacted them, while one of the other agencies contacted me six weeks later, so the difference with them was just like night and day.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, it’s been around $35,000–$40,000 AUD (approximately $27,000–$31,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
I reached out to them earlier this year, so we’ve been with them since January 2021. We’re still working with Bellman on our social media on a quarterly basis, so I can’t see any foreseeable ending at the moment.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I get feedback all the time from people that saw our brand. From our website to ads, social media, printed brand content, and more, people have given us awesome feedback on everything. Furthermore, my colleagues and I absolutely love the brand and what they’ve done with it. We couldn’t be happier.
As far as metrics, we’re starting to get them since they’ve just started coming through our Facebook Ads and so on. It’s still very positive, and we’re definitely making traction.
How did Bellman Brand Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been fantastic. When we called them, we basically gave them 3–4 weeks to have everything ready for us to launch. We were asking them to finish our website, tie our brand together, and clean it up, so we were on a very tight schedule.
Within a few days of the deadline, they had produced everything we wanted. They were awesome. We didn’t have to make almost any changes; they understood the brief perfectly and when they sent us stuff to approve, there were very small changes. At the end of the day, they got up, got our brand and brief, understood it, and nailed it.
To communicate, we’ve only used emails.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re as passionate about our brand as we are, which has really resonated. They’ve been very connected to what we want to do. It hasn’t been like we’ve got a brand manager who is connected and then the rest of the team isn’t. The illustrator, copywriter, brand manager — the whole team understands what we want. There isn’t one person who isn’t in tune with what we’re trying to do. Honestly, I believe that’s the biggest reason why working with them has been a success so far.
Also, we continue to be successful because they just evolve with us, and we deeply appreciate our relationship with them. They just understand us and connect with us, so they’re great to work with. Without their expertise, we wouldn’t have come out with what we have now.
Are there any areas they could improve?
At this point, I can’t think of anything off the top of my head. We’ve had a great experience with Bellman. They’ve been awesome to work with, they’ve met our demands, and they’ve done it tenfold.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The biggest thing is to be very clear on what you want as a brand. Be clear on your vision and give examples. When we approached them, we gave them brands that inspired us and that we sort of wanted to be like. If you’re clear in your brief and vision and give as much detail as you can, they can produce what you’re after.
You can see the work we completed for Otopia right here.
We definitely want to highlight the part about our whole team understanding Otopia’s brand. That’s what we think is one of the major benefits of a full-service agency. When the same team devises a strategy, completes the design, writes the copy, tweaks the ads and manages your project, everything works more cohesively and saves you time and energy trying to constantly manage all the moving parts.
Hopefully this review has demystified some of the process for you so that you know what to expect when you get in touch for your brand’s project.
