Brand Strategy Brand Design Brand Packaging3rd Earth is a gaming accessories brand, created by Bluemouth Interactive, Australia’s largest independent distributor of video games accessories. 3rd Earth create a curated selection of awesome gaming accessories with an awesome price to match. We teamed up to create a series of packaging to fit their entire range.
Creating a uniform series of packaging for such a wide range of sizes and shapes can be a challenge. First, we developed a style guide and series of rules for the packaging roll out, which meant the packaging outputs would look uniform across small, medium and large packs.
The style guide established ratios and size specifications for each design element on the packs. Whether looking at a small pack for HDMI cables, or a large pack for a Nintendo Switch cover – each maintains the same ratios across typography, iconography, logo size, spacing, and other design elements (pattern placement and size etc).
The end result is a cohesive and uniform series of packaging that looks great on the shelves. The client opted for a silk varnish which makes the pack feel smooth and velvety, plus silver foiling for the logo which makes the brand pop!
